With food security being top priority, the concepts of GM products, pasture management and synthetic breeds come to mind.
The fact is that everything is of zero value if there is no boervrou on the farm. The modern boervrou rightfully takes her place on every aspect of the farm.

Forget the days where she was still just a housewife. On reading about Meggan with her humble approach to life, I have buckets full of renewed hope. She is definitely part of the new generation of boervrouens. With women of this calibre on our farms, our farmers can continue to produce quality food. Congratulations Farmer’s Weekly on a lekker competition and a magnificent article.
