Friday the 13th was a lucky day for National Zoological Gardens of South Africa as it was awarded the coveted Tshwane Tourism Award for 2007 in the category of Serviced Attractions. The Zoo joined the ranks of the top tourism attractions in the City of Tshwane.
The interim director of the Zoological of Dr Gerhard von Gruenewaldt says it is an honour for the Zoo to be credited as being Tshwane’s top tourist attraction. “The National Zoo has a responsibility to the community in which it operates and to offer a world-class conservation experience. This award is proof that we are on the right track”. – Staff reporter
