Clocolan – The annual Mequatling Angus Sale was held on 21 July. The offer consisted of 38 red and black Angus cows and 43 red and black Angus bulls.

The highest-priced red Angus cow (Mequatling Red Lollypop, WB 10 170) was sold for a SA record price of R260 000 to Waterfall Angus Stud, Hillcrest. Cows achieved an average price of R59 000.

The highest-priced bull (Mequatling Call of Duty, WB 13 017) was sold to Anton Pelser of Hendrina for R100 000 and the average price was R53 000.

The sale was conducted by SHM Auctioneers, with Andrew Miller as the auctioneer.
