Bioenergy Events and Services (BEES) is proud to launch Bio360 Africa 2026 at the Gallagher Convention Centre on 17–18 June 2026, a new purpose-driven platform dedicated to accelerating bioenergy and sustainable solutions across Africa.

Building on the success of Bio360 Europe, Bio360 Africa will bring together stakeholders from farmers to investors, startups to industrial majors, and public bodies to foster collaboration, innovation, and growth in the African bioenergy sector.

Johannesburg is the strategic destination of choice to launch Bio360 Africa, situated at the heart of South Africa’s agro-industrial hub, internationally accessible and providing easy access to neighbouring African markets. Bio360 Africa will catalyse regional and international partnerships to harness Africa’s abundant biomass resources and meet rising clean energy demands.

Organisers and partners

BEES is an independent, multicultural team with over two decades of experience organising major bioenergy events worldwide, including Bio360 Europe, Biogaz Europe, Wood Energy, and ReGen Europe. Based in Lyon, BEES prides itself on creating impactful, eco-certified events that foster genuine industry connections.

The Southern African Biogas Industry Association (SABIA), our local partner, provides vital regional insight and networks, ensuring Bio360 Africa addresses the unique Southern African bioenergy landscape. Partnerships with key institutional, sector and media partners are currently being developed.

Event objectives

  • Establish an annual, high-impact bioenergy event in Africa;
  • Promote cross-continental partnerships and knowledge exchange;
  • Showcase innovations in bioenergy, circular economy, biogas, biofuels, carbon capture, and sustainable transport;
  • Engage youth and emerging professionals through dedicated side events;
  • Support policy development, access to finance, and capacity-building for a sustainable bioeconomy.

Event format

The two-day exhibition and conference (17–18 June) will feature:

  • 60+ exhibitors;
  • 2,500m² exhibition floor space;
  • Two simultaneous conference streams with plenaries, keynotes, and expert panels;
  • Networking and B2B meetings;
  • Press conference and media engagement;
  • 1,000+ participants;
  • Study tours scheduled for Friday, 19 June.

  • Bioenergy: biogas, biomethane, biohydrogen, biofuels, biochar, solid biomass, domestic cooking, traditional biomass feedstocks, off-grid and grid-connected applications, and self-consumption;
  • Bioeconomy: circular economy and integration with agriculture;
  • Carbon Management: biochar, carbon removal, carbon finance;
  • Sustainable Transport;
  • Sustainable Biomass Feedstocks;
  • Cross-cutting Themes: policy, finance, and capacity building;
