KZN farmer demonstrates cattle dipping process

Farmer’s Weekly visited farmer, PJ Hassard, on his Silvasands Farm in Hluhluwe, KwaZulu-Natal, to learn about how the adaptability of Brahman beef cattle genetics has benefitted PJ’s commercial beef enterprise.

While on Silvasands Farm, Farmer’s Weekly was able to video record PJ’s cattle going through a medicated plunge-dip for the purpose of killing off ticks that carry a variety of diseases that are harmful, and even potentially deadly, to cattle.
