Western Cape – A total of 203 Dohne Merino rams and 703 commercial one-year-old ewe lambs were on offer at the Suidplaas Dohne Merino stud of Wynand du Toit on 14 August. Rams and ewes were sold at average prices of R8 781 and R1 050 respectively. The highest price for a ram was R45 000, paid by PJ de Villiers and Vlooi du Toit. The highest-priced Dohne Merino ram was bought for R46 000 by Danie Koch of Moorreesburg.
