“We set out to ensure that the RoGator complies with mandatory Environmental Protection Agency emission standards, but the advantages of this new model go well beyond clean-air benefits,” says Challenger’s Hubertus von Dungern. “We’re confident that no other self-propelled sprayer in its class provides the same quality, productivity, value and operating experience.”

At the core of the RG1100 is a proven drive train and efficient Agco Power 8,4l diesel engine that provides a boost in horsepower and fuel efficiency. The placement of service access points means that most maintenance tasks can be accomplished quickly at ground level, saving time. The operator’s environment has also been improved, with reduced noise levels and advanced information technology. “The bottom line is that RoGator is a profit-making machine for our customers,” says Hubertus

Wide planters
Barloworld Agriculture introduced the MF8186 and MF8792 series wide planters at Nampo. The 16-row MF8186 can be unfolded in minutes, and can cover 12,2m in each pass, planting more than 100ha/day. It folds down to 4,6m for transport. The integral 76x76mm fertiliser bar is an ideal platform for a wide selection of conventional, min-till or no-till fertiliser openers, which place the starter fertiliser at precisely the selected depth. The planter can also be built to meet specific requirements.

The innovative folding mechanism of the MF8792 12-row stacker toolbar planter hydraulically lifts the wings over the centre section, keeping the fertiliser and seed hoppers upright for transport. When in planting mode, the outer wings flex 5° up and down, providing accurate seeding depth over the full width of the machine in uneven terrain. Each wing and the centre frame section of the stacker toolbar planter features an independent transmission, providing consistent seed-to-seed spacing over the full width of the planter.
