Check those fences

So if your fences aren’t goat-proof, your flock could be spending more time in the wrong camp or on your neighbour’s farm than they should be. This could lead to all sorts of problems ranging from losing animals to thieves and predators, to picking up diseases and parasites. The only real remedy is to regularly check your fences and close potentially weak points, particularly near water courses, or in areas where aardvark burrow underneath at night. If the flock has a leader, usually an old ewe that out of habit looks for holes to crawl through, get rid of her before her bad ways rub off onto other goats in the flock.
