The 21st Agri Mega Week aims to offer farmers, smallholder farmers, farm workers, suppliers, processors and families even more this year, especially regarding new technology, demonstrations, livestock exhibitions and programmes for smallholder farmers and farm workers.
“With our focus on large- and small-scale sustainable commercial agriculture we are planning more exhibitions, discussions, championships, shows and demonstrations for smallholder farmers, new entrants and our farm worker community as well,” says Mokose.
“Our aim at this year’s Agri Mega Week will be on the most recent practices and technological development in the broad agricultural sector. The main focus will, however, remain on grain, wool, dairy, small and large stock and the latest developments in mechanisation.
“Since Agri Mega Week coincides with the end of the winter grain harvest and soil preparation and planting of summer crops, it is an excellent time to consider buying new tractors, implements and machinery.”
This year’s Agri Mega Week takes place from Wednesday, 18 September, to Saturday, 21 September, at Mega Park, Bredasdorp. Tickets are available at Computicket all over SA. Special expo tours are available to individuals, farmers, smallholder farmers and agricultural groups from the Free State, Gauteng and the Cape Town regions.
