The department of energy announced on Friday (28 February) that the retail price of petrol (93 and 95 ULP and LRP) will increase by 36c/l. The price of diesel will go up by 35c/l (0,05% sulphur) and 36c/l (0,005%).
The Automobile Association (AA) said in a statement that “Strong international crude oil prices have overpowered the appreciating Rand, leaving South African consumers facing yet another hefty fuel price increase in March.”
