This follows an incident in June this year in which Malema allegedly urged supporters to occupy land.
Magistrate Ian Colditz provisionally postponed the matter until 5 May 2017.
While the hearing was underway, the following message was posted on the EFF’s Twitter account:
“Whenever you find unused land, know that that is your land. You must occupy it because it is yours. We will take back the land! By any means necessary! We demand our identity back! Tell everyone you want the land! 1994 means nothing without the land! Victory is restoration of land into the hands of Black people.”
