Rabies continues to claim human victims in KZN

Three people have now become victims of KwaZulu-Natal’s rabies epidemic.

One of the victims, who did not actually contract the disease like the other victims, was reportedly gored to death by a rabid bull close to Ladysmith. Concerns have been expressed that the headquarters of the KZN Department of Agriculture and Environmental Affairs was not made aware of the rabid bull case. The KZN DAEA is in the process of a massive anti-rabies vaccination campaign.
