Ncumisa Yekelo grew up in a village in the Eastern Cape and became interested in agriculture through her parents.
She recently finished her MSc studies with the help of a Maize Trust bursary, and says young people in South Africa should realise that agriculture isn’t always a dirty job: there are many opportunities if you are prepared to work hard.
